Manchester Police find stolen, loaded gun in stroller with 2 year old

On Monday, a Manchester, NH officer spotted a man needing assistance near the intersection of Kelly and Rimmon Streets. The man reported that he tried to run away from a man who pointed a gun at him in a robbery attempt, but that the man chased him down and punched him. The victim's mother also approached police, and said that the same man had been brandishing the gun on Dubuque St. Police were able to identify the suspect as Jonathan Bijoel, a 28 year old Manchester resident.

Bijoel was spotted walking with his girlfriend, Cassandra Gagnon, and her two year old daughter on near Kelly and Rimmon a short time later. As officers approached the couple, Gagnon tried to walk away with the stroller. When police searched the stroller, they found a stolen 9mm pistol in the storage area under the child's seat.

Bijoel was arrested and faces charges of robbery, theft of a firearm, and being a felon in possession of a firearm. Gagnon was also arrested and charged with falsifying physical evidence, and violating conditions of her bail.
