Boston Fire responded to a house fire for "the yellow house on Cataumet Street" at 11:15 this morning. Tower Ladder 10 was the fist truck on scene, and reported heavy smoke coming from the house, a 1.5 story 50'x30' single family home. Fire box 2468 was struck.
Companies went to work and discovered fire on the first floor extended to the attic, which took about 15 minutes to bring under control. The home appeared vacant. One firefighter was transported to the Brigham & Womens Hospital after feeling lightheaded, and was admitted to be evaluated overnight.
