Just before 3PM, I heard the Boston EMS dispatcher advise all ambulances that the area outside of the Boston Medical Center ER was being blocked off as a crime scene, and that units should avoid.
At the same time, I heard reports from Boston PD that there had been a shooting at 873 Blue Hill Ave, and that the victims had transported themselves to BMC. Boston PD reported that Blue Hill Ave was shut down for the investigation.
Adam Gaffin at universalhub reports that two people were hit when a shooter opened fire into a vehicle, and that the homicide unit is investigating. One person has died.
