One injured in Salem fire

Salem Fire Department began receiving calls for a building fire at 45 Ward Street just after 9:30 this morning. Upon arrival, firefighters observed smoke coming from the building. After making entry, they discovered a one-room fire, with one victim inside. The fire was quickly knocked down and the victim was brought out of the building and transferred to an ambulance. The victim's condition is unknown.
