A suspect led Randolph PD and MSP on quite a chase tonight before she wrecked his car. The pursuit, which reached speeds over 90 MPH started in Randolph, and didn't end until after the suspect crossed into Rhode Island on I-95 Southbound and crashed at Exit 29. The suspect wrecked hard and was trapped in the vehicle. The Fire Department had to use the Jaws of Life to reach her in the wreckage.
Police involved in the pursuit reported the woman appeared to be holding something up to her head. The chase was called off at the state line, which is when the crash occurred. Officers initially surrounded the car at gunpoint. Stop sticks were deployed at Exit 4, but were unsuccessful.
